Friday Night Social March 31

It's really time to get together and crop for a wee bit! We've added a crop/social to Friday Night's calendar, so call and make a reservation. You can start as early as 10am and go all the way until 11:30pm. This Friday, March 31st. Pizza provided. Crop is $15, but spend just $30 in the store during the crop, and we will waive your crop fee. Goodies and giveaways included in the mix. And I think I can find some Girl Scout cookies for snacks. We do fill up, so please let us know if we need to put your name on a chair.

Two Words: White Sharpie

Sweet.

No Sleep, Plenty of Snow, A Little Sliding, and Almost Out of Gas

More details to come, but let's just say that our little road trip to the great state of Utah was packed with events that spanned a range of emotions. No pun intended. (This time.)

We have returned and are still unpacking new inventory.

New surprises include:
  • Fancy Pants papers and chipboards, although I do believe the chipboard is already up for reorder
  • Additions to the Rob and Bob collection in a wide range of pinks
  • Over the Moon Press in girl, boy, and lovey-dovey collections
  • Teresa Collins' collection by Junkitz

We spotted some indecently cool projects that we are pretty psyched to be bringing into the store. Samples will be in the store quite soon, and you can keep asking until it's true.

Also, we unpacked and put out the single biggest delivery of Heidi Swapp that we have ever received all together at one time. Our motherload inlcudes:

  • Florals in pinks, whites. yellows, and both whopper and whopper junior sizes
  • Chipboard circles in four colors, chipboard alphas in schizophrenic, chipboard shapes in punctuation, hearts, and flowers
  • Masks and mini-masks in nearly everything
  • The entire line of 9x9 paper
  • New fuzzy rubons in funky designs
  • Ghost shapes
  • Flower jewels
  • Several shades of paint
  • Rubon/Circle Chipboard kits

Of course, because of the packaging (!), we managed to fill a small county recycling plant. If we would have been able to just burn the packaging, we could have kept the most of Maricopa County warm for a few days, too. Or, if we were Donna Downey, we could just make stuff out of all the packaging. But we're not, so we didn't. Heh.

Yeah, What SHE Said

Confirmation of a Make n' Take visit from Heidi Swapp: Join us May 27th from 1-3 pm. Ensure a seat at the table with participation in the pre-show entertainment:
  • Pick up your free SHE letters before they are all gone.
  • Return them decorated and we will decorate you with a ticket and assigned time at the free Make n' Take.

See the ones already returned displayed in our store and linked to this site under our Legend List.

Charming

More charms arrived in all sorts of themes. If you're looking for just the right touch, one of these charms could be the perfect accent. We added saddles to the western collection, sand dollars and starfish to the beach variety, and planes, luggage, and Mount Rushmore to the travel group. We've been seeing loads of cheer girls in here working on their books so we added a cute megaphone to the cheerleader word charm. The flower and garden collection has been expanded with daisies, roses, and four-leaf clovers. Your wine charm collection can be embellished with a tiny martini glass, complete with olive. And any diva could use a charm with her title on it, along with several shoes and a matching purse. Natch.

We're Closing

...a wee bit early this Thursday March 23rd, at 5:00pm. We will reopen Friday morning on schedule at 10am.

Apologies for any inconvenience or scrapbook emergencies that we will not be available to treat.

Flowers for Algernon

When I first started using flowers, I admit that I was not particularly skilled. I seemed much more adept at collecting all the different bottles of Primas. After a great deal of practice, my pages seem to be improving. The thing is, I am not sure that this is only a temporary lull before I return to my formerly unskilled flower-impaired ways. In any case, I will continue to collect my Primas, hoping to learn and grow. Heh.

For those who may feel the same way, or for those who just love those Prima bottles, 2 new color collections arrived today. Come see the beautiful garden of bottles.

A New 12-Step Program

Twelve snazzy and sophisticated new Distress Ink colors were unpacked today and set out to capture your heart. Start your collection with Worn Lipstick and Aged Mahogany. Or perhaps try the Dried Marigold and the Faded Jeans. Then there's Broken China, Brushed Corduroy, Spiced Marmalade...you might need all twelve. Pace yourself. You can get the Re-inkers next time.

Buzzworthy: SHE Stuff

Want to come and help us out with a little store decor in anticipation of a visit from a certain SHE?

It's so easy!

Pick up your letter package of S-H-E letters from our store. Embellish, decorate, paint, mask, silhouette, rub-on, Krylon, sand off, and otherwise go to town with these letters. Return the completed designs to the store and we will prominently display them. For a flippin' cool example, check out Melissa's completed project.

What's in it for you? Well, the sheer joy of artistic creation (we are sure) is reward enough, plus the knowledge that everyone who matters will enjoy your works of art in the store. Not enough? OK, post your pictures and link them to our site, we will add you to our legend list and give you some "SHE love" on our blog. Need more? How about priority seating at the Heidi Swapp Make n' Take coming up May 27th at our store? First S-H-E letters in receive priority seating. (Time still to be announced.)

Settle down, people. We can hear the squealing all the way over in Ahwatukee. Oh, wait, that's us.

Heidi Takes the Scenic Route

The new UPS guy brought a cornucopia of new and restocked products to the store. Map your way to perfect pages with brand new Scenic Route papers and chipboard embellishments. Timeless Touches sent our multi-tool paper piercers and some fun assorted fiber templates over all the way from Peoria (AZ that is.) QuicKutz delivered Calvin and all the QK dies that match the new Icing rubons. All that, and Heidi too. The long-awaited reorders of blooms, foam stamps, chipboard elements and alphas made a showing just before 5pm and by 7pm had pulled an Elvis. New papers (9x9), a sampling of HS acrylic paint, and fuzzy rubons were welcomed to the family. Proceedings are securely in place for the backorders of everything else for which we (im) patiently await.

Earlier in the day, FedEx brought in the gypsies, with nearly every naked journal known now back in stock. As if that were not enough for one day, Making Memories provided the animal chorus with the release of the pet line. Contributing enamel appearances also provided by Travel, Boy, and Tool categories. And the gorgeous MM book highlighting most of the current MM lines is brand new and in stock. For a moment, anyway.

If Chatterbox and Wild Asparagus Had a Baby...

It would be named Crate. Crate Paper is here, all wondrously textured and colored. Thick and rough feeling, yet soft and tender patterned, this paper is made to be hoarded. If you do break down and use it, we understand. Limited styles available in kits. We have half of the collection, and if you say please, we'll tell you where to find the other half.

Sassy!

Sassafras Lass joined the paper parade today. Although we have not received the Nesters stamps (backordered), we did receive lots o' paper and the coordinating alphas. The paper is both sassy and is keeping us in stitches. Yes, at the same time.

It's Nearly Tuesday So Don't Forget Your Coupon...

Tuesday, March 7th is once again C3 Day. Bring your favorite competitor's coupon and we will collect it for up to a 40% discount off any one regular-priced item. Some restrictions apply, but hardly any, really. One per customer per Tuesday.

The Return of Tim Holtz

Ok, it's not like he ever left, and it's not that he will actually be here in person (yet...), but we did want to announce the arrival of the Distressables II 9x9 paper collection and the new release of Doo-Dads. (I feel like you should just insert your own joke here; it's just too easy.) We are still impatiently tapping our toes, because we did not receive the Distressables II book, and maybe if they knew how much we NEEDED this book, they would just send it. Tap. Tap tap.

Animal Tactics

In what might be considered some of the funniest paper ever, the new Reminisce release is branded with Madagascar-like penguins, lions, and giraffes. Giggle-worthy, for sure. And if it's farm paper you need (and we all need farm paper every once in a while), we've got the coordinating barnyard animal selection. With matching stickers. Root around in that for a while. On a related note, "What Happens in Vegas" paper is also back in stock. You animals.

Rub On Over for the Best Selection

Gin-X is back with some new random font rub-ons. And black Kellerman is finally back in stock. If they're still here next week, Natalie will sell what is left to you. We promise.

"They're Going Like Bagels"

At last! Storage for your foam stamps from Li'l Davis Designs. Choose the large size that holds up to 5 sets or the smaller size that holds 3 sets. We've ordered a hoard of them because we know that all our foam stamp collectors have been hankering after these for quite some time.

Hey Hey It's the Monkeys

Rusty Pickle's Big Top collection finally arrived, and we are so happy to have some monkeys around here. Tagging along with the boyish paper is some girlie-girl paper, so there's something for everyone in the house. And if you've been waiting for the restock of Prmitive Hearts, it's finally here.

With This Ring...

American Tag rings in sizes from 3/4" up to a big honkin' 2" are here. Now you can make your books with rings that open wide instead of trying to slide all the papers around a keychain ring. Vegas-style envelopes in a nifty 6x9 size will hold your Vegas memorabilia and serve as a sassy litle page decoration. Are you feeling lucky?

Chatterbox Has Clearly Arrived

One of our favorite new CHA-W items were the letters and quote transparencies from Chatterbox . We just love using transparencies on everything anyway, and having the adhesive already on the product totally speeds up the process for us. Find letters and quotes in our favorite Chatterbox color ensembles, and go forth to adhere.
