Doodlebug Posies and Buttons and RubOns, Oh My!
As If
More albums in stock, including Pulp 12x12 AND the elusive 8.5x11 sizes, both in D-ring binder style. Groovy colors and hip patterns are the highlight of this wonderful line. And AS IF that was not cool enough, We R Memory Keepers finally sent the back order of Hippo and Lilo Balls 12x12 albums. Sounds dangerous, but they are bright and fun, plus they coordinate perfectly with the We R paper line. Also from We R: epoxy sticker sets. Yes, I am using the dreaded "s" word, but when you see the utter cuteness of these coordinating embellies, you too will be on the "s" wagon!

Coliseum Crop
Maybe scrapbooking would be a great change of pace. Thanks to Connie, one of our Bazzill-obsessed customers, we can clean out our old scrapbook supplies and send them over to the Coliseum to our neighbors "living" there. Connie has volunteered to collect old paper, stickers, adhesives, etc and bring them to the Red Cross for distribution at the Coliseum. We are helping by donating product and by serving as a drop-off point for customers who want to get rid of some of their supplies. Connie has checked with the folks at the Red Cross, and they would be delighted to receive this type of donation.
You know, I don't think I have ever seen a crop with 2,000 people...

LABOR DAY HOURS
Monday hours are 12-4 due to the Labor Day holiday.
PROJECT KATRINA
I admit it. I have a hard time watching the coverage of rescue and recovery efforts from Katrina. Like I have heard from many, it is hard to know what to do to help, other than send buckets of money to assist the Red Cross and other human services agencies. And like many, I do not have access to nearly as many buckets of money as I would like. So I am taking a cue from the October issue of Creating Keepsakes. As the Phoenix CK Convention approaches, Annalis Scraptique will host a silent auction to benefit victims of Hurricane Katrina. You can help, too!
- Donate a scrapbook or altered art project for the silent auction. This could be a completed scrapbook page, where the winning bidder would simply add his or her own photos. Or a mini-book. Or altered box. Or decorated frame. Or paint can. You get the idea!
- Help decorate our Annalis signature item, an IKEA chair. The chair will be available starting this Sunday, Sept 4 for our customers to start decorating, as a group project. Add an embellishment, a quote, or staple on a ribbon. It will then be the centerpiece of our silent auction. We have so many amazingly talented customers, I feel confident we can create a masterpiece in just a week's time.
- Bid on items, on display, at Annalis the week of the CK Convention, Sept 11-17. I will also try to post auction items here for our blog readers to see. If blog readers are not local and really want to participate, we will make some items available for online readers and provide for shipping to the winner.
All funds raised will go directly to Katrina victims, via the Red Cross. In addition 10% of all sales from Saturday, Sept 17 will be donated to the Red Cross. I hope you will support our small effort to make a difference.
