Thursday Findings

YOWZA! Our long awaited Rob and Bob Studio stuff has started to arrive. Cute clipboards and luggage tags (with vellum envelopes), coasters, and fun papers are all here. We also received the clip dispenser and clips, although it appears they will not be in stock for long.

ProvoCraft 12x12 metal sheets in diamond pattern and corrugated pattern also arrived today. Can't wait to see the projects that are created with these! Also from PC are metal tags, perfect for rub-ons, a photo tag, or a bit of journaling. Several colors and shapes are available, and they are just 50 cents each!

Disney stuff also arrived: bottle caps, clips, buttons, papers. It's all red, black, and white in here! Color-blocked pages and embossed designs highlight your favorite characters.

SEI rhinestone brads are also back in stock. It only takes a couple to really light up a layout. Available in 4 color sets.

SPACE AVAILABLE!

Join our Friday night crop from 6-11:3o. There are still a few spaces left. Start up your long weekend by getting some pages done. Call for a reservation.

LABOR DAY HOURS

Monday hours are 12-4 due to the Labor Day holiday.

PROJECT KATRINA

I admit it. I have a hard time watching the coverage of rescue and recovery efforts from Katrina. Like I have heard from many, it is hard to know what to do to help, other than send buckets of money to assist the Red Cross and other human services agencies. And like many, I do not have access to nearly as many buckets of money as I would like. So I am taking a cue from the October issue of Creating Keepsakes. As the Phoenix CK Convention approaches, Annalis Scraptique will host a silent auction to benefit victims of Hurricane Katrina. You can help, too!
  1. Donate a scrapbook or altered art project for the silent auction. This could be a completed scrapbook page, where the winning bidder would simply add his or her own photos. Or a mini-book. Or altered box. Or decorated frame. Or paint can. You get the idea!
  2. Help decorate our Annalis signature item, an IKEA chair. The chair will be available starting this Sunday, Sept 4 for our customers to start decorating, as a group project. Add an embellishment, a quote, or staple on a ribbon. It will then be the centerpiece of our silent auction. We have so many amazingly talented customers, I feel confident we can create a masterpiece in just a week's time.
  3. Bid on items, on display, at Annalis the week of the CK Convention, Sept 11-17. I will also try to post auction items here for our blog readers to see. If blog readers are not local and really want to participate, we will make some items available for online readers and provide for shipping to the winner.

All funds raised will go directly to Katrina victims, via the Red Cross. In addition 10% of all sales from Saturday, Sept 17 will be donated to the Red Cross. I hope you will support our small effort to make a difference.
